Recent consolidation of state agencies in response to the economic downturn has resulted in nearly 240,000 square-feet of vacant office space in the district. While this has had a negative impact, it also offers an opportunity to diversify the district’s employment base. The workshop will be an interactive presentation which will utilize hand-held instant polling equipment to formulate concepts, establish preferences, and refine design elements. The data gathered will inform the Woodland District Steering Committee and policy-makers on current strategic planning efforts, including concepts that can be successfully implemented immediately as well as broader actions that can be incorporated into land use planning element updates to Lacey’s overall comprehensive plan.To learn more, visit www.ci.lacey.wa.us/get-involved, or contact Ryan Andrews, Associate Planner, at randrews@ci.lacey.wa.us or (360) 491-5642.last_img
