Saubert Gets NFL Combine Invitation

first_imgIn addition to this year’s four All-America honors, Saubert was named to All-America teams by the Associated Press, STATS FCS and FCS ADA last season. Saubert will get a chance to impress NFL personnel later this month as he will play in the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday, Jan. 21 in St. Petersburg, Fla. The NFL Combine is the annual job fair for prospective new NFL players.  From Feb. 28-March 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium, the nation’s top college football players will be put through a series of drills, tests and interviews in front of more than 600 NFL personnel including head coaches, general managers and scouts. At 6-5, 250 pounds, Saubert received All-America honors from four different organizations after ranking second among tight ends in the nation in receiving yards per game (70.5) and receiving touchdowns (10).
