Tipperary are into a Waterford Crystal Cup quarter final after defeating Mary Immaculate College last night in Dr. Morris Park.At half time, Mary I were 0-11 to 0-10 clear, with Limerick’s David Reidy scoring six of those first-half points for Eamonn Cregan’s visitors.Despite a gallant Mary I effort, Tipp eventually turned up the intensity to ease past their Limerick opposition, with 2014 Hurler of the Year nominee Callanan collecting a total of 3-7. David Butler helped himself to four points from play and Sean Maher scored an impressive 1-1. David Reidy was Limerick’s leading scorer with a tally of ten points, including eight frees.The final score was Tipperary 4-16 Mary I 1-16.The Tipp side will now play Clare in the quarter final on the 18th of January.
