Watford boss Gracia: Doucoure? The owners must decideby Paul Vegas10 months agoSend to a friendShare the loveWatford boss Javi Gracia retains hope of keeping hold of Abdoulaye Doucoure. The French midfielder is being linked with PSG as a replacement for wantaway playmaker Adrien Rabiot.Gracia told Sky Sports: “Last season, every week we talked about Liverpool or Everton, all the clubs that were interested in him. We can still talk about it. For me, Doucouré is a great player, a very important player for us. “I do not know what will happen. It does not surprise me that other clubs want to sign him because he is a very good player.”He added: “It’s important for the club and the owner to know how important he is to us. But after that, they will choose what is best for the club. Sometimes, some players, like last season with Richarlison, decide themselves. It could happen again. We do not want him to leave, but it’s football.” TagsTransfersAbout the authorPaul VegasShare the loveHave your say

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Parent and Child Early (PACE) Coaching Project is quickly reaching its deadline at the end of August to accept new participants. The PACE project is working with their partner agency in the North, the Fort St. John Child Development Centre. The Project is looking for parents of children aged 15 months to 34 months which the parents recognize the child has some sort of social communication delay, that would like to participate in the program.Pat Mirenda Ph.D., BCBA-D, Project Director for PACE shares, with young children there is a lot of reasons for a social delay to be happening such as late talkers. The project is looking specifically for children whom social communication delays put them at risk for the autism spectrum disorder, according to Mirenda. The first step in the process for parents that reach out to the project is to screen the child for Autism Spectrum Disorder with a 20 question interview to find out ‘could’ the social communication delay be because of Autism shared Mirenda. If it could be, according to Mirenda information is given to the parent to find out it really is as this is a whole different process. The child/ parent are then eligible for the study. The study is explained to the parent and asked if they want to participate. The program does assessments and then delivers one of two interventions with a 50/50 chance of receiving either-or.One is being apart of 24 weeks of parenting coaching, receiving one on one coaching from a coach in the community to learn strategies to help the child with social development skills. The other is a monitor group in which there is no coaching yet access to books and online modules made for parents to support social development. Both groups receive a service to help answer the question, does parent coaching make a difference verse access to materials which is less intensive and expensive.Parents only have until the end of August to sign up. Mirenda shared it is important to get in touch right away.To contact PACE Coaching Project; CLICK HERE
Agra: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday alleged that the BJP had deviated from the path of truth and it seemed that the saffron party neither has faith in democracy nor in the people. The Congress secretary general in-charge for Uttar Pradesh (East) also said the BJP instead of speaking about India and what it had done for its youth was talking about Pakistan. “It seems that the government has faith neither in democracy, its institutions nor the people..had they been real nationalists they would have tread the path of truth. “They would have understood that this country is based on truth and those who deviate from it are not let off…you will also not be excused as you, too, have deviated from the path of truth long ago,” she said at a rally here. The Congress leader was campaigning for the party’s Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha seat candidate and Uttar Pradesh unit president Raj Babbar. Lashing out at the BJP government, Priyanka Gandhi said during election time, they are talking about nationalism and Pakistan. “They must talk about India, what they have done for the youth, farmers and other sections of society. They must tell what their agenda for women and women security is,”she said. Taking a dig at the BJP publicity campaign, she said the truth is being “drowned” in such campaigns. “I have seen the reality in the eyes of youth who complain about jobs, seen it in the eyes of potato growers who come to Rae Bareli and Lucknow to tell about their loans and the high costs that they have to bear,” Priyanka Gandhi said. Citing the example of a farmer here who reportedly sold his produce for Rs 490 and send the money to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a mark of protest, she said,”He sent this money to the PM to apprise him about the truth of the country and its farmers.” “The truth is being drowned in publicity…you all know better…whenever a question is raised the questioner is told that he is an anti-national,” Priyanka Gandhi said. She, while talking about the Congress manifesto, mistakenly said that “aisi yojnaein ghoshna patra mein hai jisse aapko swastha sarkari aspatalon mein muft milega (There are schemes in the manifesto through which you will get free health in government hospitals)”. However, the Congress leader was quick to realise her mistake and smilingly remarked, “Swastha nahin… matlab swastha ki jaanch aur swastha ka ilaj muft milega (Not swasth (health)…I mean diagnosis and treatment will be free).” She quipped that “swastha bhi mil jaye toh achcha hain (It will be great if health can be given for free)”.
CHICAGO – Throughout the regular season, the Big Ten was considered the nation’s best conference. With its teams on display this weekend at the conference tournament in Chicago, the Big Ten didn’t disappoint. Ohio State won its fourth tournament championship Sunday, beating Wisconsin, 50-43. There were plenty of highlights though, from the tournament’s start on Thursday afternoon through the finale. Best game: No. 2 seed OSU 61, No. 3 seed Michigan State 58, Saturday, semifinal round The Buckeyes and Spartans had two close battles in the regular season, and the third matchup of the season between the two teams was no different. Behind a 20-point outburst from junior guard Aaron Craft, the Buckeyes overcame big games from Spartan junior forward Adreian Payne and junior point guard Keith Appling. Best player: Craft The rosy-cheeked fan favorite was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, and rightfully so. Craft had what was potentially the best game of any player in the tournament in OSU’s semifinal win against MSU. He scored 20 points, 18 in the second half, while adding nine assists, four steals and three rebounds. On the tournament, Craft averaged 12 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals a game. Best crowd: MSU vs. No. 6 seed Iowa, Friday, quarterfinal round The Spartans and Hawkeyes both had large groups of fans in Chicago, and their close battle in the quarterfinal round proved it. MSU overcame a 12-point deficit in the second half to overtake Iowa, 59-56, after a 3-point attempt from the Hawkeyes in the closing seconds was off. The crowd’s energy had a lot to do with questionable calls from the referees, too, as Iowa coach Fran McCaffrey said after the game his players deserved a “better fate.” Best shot: Illinois senior guard Brandon Paul’s buzzer beater against Minnesota, Thursday, first round With the game tied, Paul got the ball at the top of the key with the seconds ticking down. He waited until about the six-second mark to make his move. Paul dribbled hard to the left elbow, crossed over, stepped back, and hit a fadeaway jumper that flushed through the net to give the Illini a 51-49 victory. Biggest surprise: Indiana not making the tournament final The Hoosiers were widely considered the conference’s most talented team throughout the season. Indiana has experienced skill, too, with its best players nearly all having big-time roles last year. They came into Chicago as the No. 1 seed, but Wisconsin best the Hoosiers, 68-56, behind 16 points from senior forward Ryan Evans.
Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic suggests that England should have respected his side more ahead of their World Cup semi-final in Moscow. Before Croatia eliminated England from the tournament, there were speculations from supporters that Croatia were among the easiest teams England can defeat and it would be an easy walk for England to the final since they face Croatia at such late stage of the competition.Dalic accepted that English press gave his side extra motivation with the speculative reports about them.“There is always some extra motivation and we always respect our opponents,” he told reporters via Sportsmole.Crouch: Liverpool could beat Man United to Jadon Sancho Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Peter Crouch wouldn’t be surprised to see Jadon Sancho end up at Liverpool one day instead of his long-term pursuers Manchester United.“Maybe the English team should have respected us more, especially when you consider where our players play their football, but this is football and sport.“Maybe there was an element of extra motivation because of [comments in the English media], but there was also motivation to play in the final and make our fans and the country happy.”Croatia will now face France in the final of the World Cup on Sunday.

But, that’s not the end. He apparently also spoke with the Reds leaders that were present at the Stadio San Paolo.Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini must be the most enthusiastic patron in Italy, as considering all interested teams, Barella’s price can only go upwards.
The German manager was coaching the Borussia Dortmund U23 players on Saturday, and today he’s with English Premier League club Huddersfield Town. What do you do when you are last in the English Premier League and your manager just quit this week?Well, you hire one coach who has been working with German Bundesliga first-place club Borussia Dortmund in order to try to bring some of that success to your team. That’s how former Dortmund U23 manager Jan Siewert was hired by Huddersfield Town with the only objective of saving the team from relegation. The club is currently in 20th place with only 11 points. They have gotten two victories, five draws, and 16 defeats so far in the 2018-2019 season. The team has received 40 goals and scored only 13 in 23 matches.Crouch: Liverpool could beat Man United to Jadon Sancho Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Peter Crouch wouldn’t be surprised to see Jadon Sancho end up at Liverpool one day instead of his long-term pursuers Manchester United.“I get frustrated when players don’t get it right tactically in certain situations,” Siewert told Deutsche Welle during his unveiling. He believes he has “a good connection with the players. I know what I want and I demand it from my players.”“Of course there are similarities in our playing style,” he said comparing the Dortmund U23 with the Huddersfield Town squad.“But the most important thing is that I’m Jan Siewert.”This is the first high-profile club Siewert has ever managed. He debuted as a coach with Rot-Weiss Essen in 2015, then the next year he was working with VfL Bochum U19s.He transferred to the Borussia Dortmund youth squads in 2017 until this past Saturday.
Now that Landmark Communications is said to be in exclusive talks with a consortium made up of NBC Universal and private equity firms the Blackstone Group and Bain Capital about the acquisition of the Weather Channel, attention in the media world is beginning to shift toward the potential sale of Landmark’s Dominion Enterprises, the company’s publishing division.Formerly known as Trader Publishing, Dominion Enterprises was established in September 2006 following a division of assets between shared owners Landmark and Cox Communications. The company owns and operates more than 500 Web sites and magazines, including boating industry titles Soundings, Soundings Trade Only and PassageMaker. In January, Norfolk, Virginia-based Landmark retained investment banks J.P. Morgan and Lehman Brothers to assist in exploring strategic options for the company, indicating that a sale of all of its individual businesses, including Dominion, was possible. Landmark already has started distributing information to potential buyers interested Dominion Enterprises, according to a Financial Times news report . Last year, Dominion’s revenues were nearly $1 billion. The company could fetch about $1.4 billion on the market. A Landmark spokesperson did not return a request for comment.“If Dominion can sell everything in one transaction, that would be best so they are not left with small individual titles. They cover quite a few market sectors,” Berkery Noyes managing director Chris Shannon wrote in an e-mail to FOLIO:. “It is hard to tell what price they will command but as we’ve seen in recent transactions (even the Weather Channel potential sale), buyers need to be realistic in their expectations. Super-high multiples in traditional media are not as common as they used to be.”Earlier this year, analysts said a sale of the Weather Channel could top $5 billion. More recent reports put the sale closer to $3.5 billion.
