Greater Noida: Three persons have been arrested by Gautam Buddh Nagar police as they hurled acid on their 22-year-old sister after trying to kill her while travelling to Noida near Kot village in Dadri area of Greater Noida on May 9.Cops said that the accused confessed to have committed the crime under a fit of rage over their sister’s relationship with a man. According to police, those arrested were identified as Irfan (27), Imran(25) and Rizwan(22), all natives of Ramnagar colony in Gulaothi area of Bulandshahr. Police officials said that the accused persons worked as labourers at construction sites. Neeraj Malik, Station House Officer of Dadri police station said that the trio of accused were absconding since the incident and were arrested on Sunday night from Dadri railway station. “Victim had identified three of her brothers to have attacked her while they were travelling back to their rented house on a Scooty. The accused were absconding after the incident and on Sunday night, we received a tip-off about their movement and arrested them from Dadri railway crossing” said Malik. Also Read – Two persons arrested for killing manager of Muthoot FinanceThe officer added that the accused persons confessed to have committed the crime as they were annoyed over her for being into a relationship with the son of their house owner. “Upon sustained interrogations, it came to light that the accused persons committed crime in a fit of rage as their sister was into a relationship with a married man who is the son of their house owner. Victim’s family had gone to Aligarh to meet their relatives while the trio of brothers took her along with them to their house in Bulandshahr but travelled to NH-91 and stopped their Scooty near village Kot in Dadri. They tried to strangle her and when she fell unconscious, Rizwan and Irfan hurled acid on her and fled away from the spot leaving her lying on the road” added Malik. A senior police officer told Millennium Post that the victim is still admitted in Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi. “Victim’s condition is stable as of now but doctors have said that she need to spend some more days in the hospital” the officer said.
