Revenue seize €40000 in cash at Dublin Airport

first_imgOFFICERS FROM REVENUE’S Customs Service at Dublin Airport yesterday seized €40,000 when they stopped and searched two men from Northern Ireland.The 29-year-old and 30-year-old men were stopped and searched as they were about to board a flight to Malaga yesterday morning.  The discovery was made on foot of an intelligence-led operation.The cash was concealed in the men’s carry on baggage.The money was seized by Revenue and in Dublin Circuit Court yesterday afternoon officers were granted a three month detention order in both cases in order to carry out further investigations.Read:Suspect fuel laundering plant uncovered in Armagh>€3.1 million worth of contraband cigarettes seized at Dublin Port>last_img read more
