Scenic Group Offers 25,000 Bonus Reward Points for New Bookings Across All of its Brands

first_imgBoston, January 18th, 2019 – Scenic Group, parent company of Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Emerald Waterways and Scenic Eclipse, has announced that U.S.-based travel agents will receive a bonus of 25,000 Rewards Points for every new booking they make between January 1 and February 28, 2019 on any of its three brands – Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Emerald Waterways and Scenic Eclipse. And with no cap, the sky is the limit. The Rewards bonus points will be in addition to the already generous points agents earn based on the value of the booking. Scenic Group’s Rewards Program, started in 2018, grants one point for every two dollars spent. Those points can then be traded in for a huge array of products that includes appliances (big and small), fitness and outdoor equipment, electronics, jewelry and fashion items, multiple gift card options, food and wine items, etc. Citing a couple of examples, Rob Huffman, VP Sales USA for Scenic Group, points out how agents can really walk away with great products while helping their clients enjoy the best deals of the season. “Many of the agents who sell Scenic products will make multiple bookings in the next two months of WAVE Season. Make just five bookings, at an average value of $20,000 net, and the agent will receive 175,000 Rewards points, more than enough for a new GE dishwasher or a Bose Soundtouch speaker and a KitchenAid microwave. Make 10 bookings and the resulting bonus points means they could pick up a new iPhone and still have more than 100,000 Bonus points left to spend.” After their first booking, travel agents receive a welcome email from Scenic and/or Emerald Waterways Rewards with a password reset link and a unique Rewards Member ID. This ID is pre-populated in the agent’s profile on Express Book and must appear on all Scenic and/or Emerald Waterways bookings to earn points. One point is earned for every two dollars spent – excluding air components, taxes and non-commissionable products which form part of the booking, as well as any surcharge or service fees on payments made by credit card, charge card or other forms of non-cash payment. Travel agents access their accounts at www.scenicrewards.com or www.emeraldwaterwaysrewards.com, review their points status and browse the catalogue to redeem their points. Emerald Waterways Rewards points are transferrable to their Scenic Rewards accounts (but not the other way around). Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has grown over its 31-year history to include award-winning, all-inclusive escorted tours that take participants to many of the world’s most fascinating destinations and, since 2008, truly all-inclusive, five-star river cruises in Europe, SE Asia, Russia and Egypt on its 15 Space-Ships. In 2019, Scenic is introducing the world’s first Discovery Yacht, the 228-guest Scenic Eclipse, and a sister ship to launch in 2020. Sister brand Emerald Waterways has seven Star-Ships offering European river sailings with an eighth (Emerald Harmony) launching in 2019 for SE Asia’s Mekong River. Exclusive charters are offered on SE Asia’s Irrawaddy River; the Volga River in Russia; yacht cruises out of Croatia; and Egypt’s Nile River. Additional information on these and other cruises, brochures and reservations can be obtained via travel agents or www.scenicusa.com; phone 844-788-7985; or email: [email protected] Brochures can also be downloaded directly from the website.last_img read more

Automotive Investment Organisation secures £457m for UK businesses

The Automotive Investment Organisation (AIO), created to spearhead inward investment in to the UK, has achieved £457 million worth of investment since it was established in June last year. As part of UKTI and led by CEO Joe Greenwell, the Organisation has already secured funding for 80 projects, securing 5,600 supply chain jobs.Speaking ahead of the Manufacturing Summit (19 June 2014), which brings together government and industry to discuss the challenges and next steps for the sector, Business Minister Michael Fallon said:“Manufacturing is driving the UK’s recovery and our vibrant automotive sector is leading the way in helping to create jobs and generate growth.“The Automotive Investment Organisation can take some of the credit. It has got off to a cracking start – beating its initial targets by securing over £450 million of investment and creating and safeguarding more than 5,600 jobs in its first year.”The AIO, part of UK Trade and Investment, was originally funded with an investment of £3 million over two years. It was created following a 2012 report by the Automotive Council, which found there was an additional £3 billion of new business that could be won by UK suppliers and overseas companies looking to set up or expand manufacturing facilities in the UK.Recent examples of AIO project successes have included Canadian car manufacturer, Multimatic, announcing a new £59 million investment project which will see the creation of 232 jobs in the UK.Part of Multimatic’s investment proposal will be a new research and development facility in Norfolk and a manufacturing plant in Coventry focused on the production of advanced composite components to support the development of lightweight vehicles. The AIO has also helped BorgWarner establish a Turbocharger Centre of Excellence and launch a research and development collaboration programme with the University of Huddersfield. BorgWarner has been able to secure a supply contract for JLR as a result of this investment. Both projects have resulted in more than 200 new jobs – with a combined investment of £26 million.”CEO of the Automotive Investment Organisation and former Chair of Ford, Joe Greenwell said:“The UK automotive sector is thriving and ‘brand Britain’ vehicles are recognised around the world as a mark of premium quality, reliability and innovation.“These first year results for the AIO are testament to the high regard in which the UK industry is held internationally, and I’m pleased we’ve been able to surpass our targets, securing thousands of UK jobs and hundreds of thousands of pounds of investment into the UK. I look forward to building on this in the weeks, months and years ahead as we continue to buck the trend across the rest of Europe by growing our car production.”The 2014 Manufacturing Summit, which is being held in Liverpool, aims to bring together more than 200 manufacturing business leaders to discuss with ministers the latest progress on the Industrial Strategy, upcoming challenges and next steps for the sector as government continues to put manufacturing at the heart of its growth programme.”Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window) read more
